Let's see pics when you get done! Fendt did it with their tractors (Mounting implements on front with a 3pt)

Spoil yourself a little and get a late model (80-82) L2 or a L3!

Yep...talking about reasonable priced 7040s...I hate to tell about it...but I missed out on a running 7040 with a busted side window at an auction for $200. If I didn't learn my lesson then, it sold a week later at another auction for $500!!

I'm still kicking myself, and one of my grandpa likes to rub salt in the wound all the time by bringing it up and telling me what a bad decision I made by not bidding.

But...there's the age-old question...where would I keep it??

That is the exact fight I grew up with and dealt with most my life with our older equipment. For what we wanted to do all of it was being ran at or above it's intended design limits day in and day out and cost a fortune in time money and labor to keep up.

Now with the big machines  that same workload is now so far below their designed working range that  the only maintenance I have to do other than fluid changes is for age related failures to  things like wiring, heating and AC systems components, hydraulic  lines, fuel lines and a few O-ring, seals and gaskets  and such that just got old and aged to death well before we ever acquired them.

I agree with Orange Blood.  A good D-17 or 19 would be all you would need.  I'd do some checking around; sales, auctions, Craigslist and any where else close to where you want to end up.  Seems your roots place has the most Allis of all the country.  Check on what implements are available in your new area and see what you come up with.
The good part about it all is that you can take your time and find what you want.
DO NOT listen to Shameless (NE), he's a trouble maker.......
