Bout a used woods L59 mower for my B. I have everything installed now. It came with two belts. They had one on the deck and one driving the deck. I have now figured out its supposed to have one large belt. Does anybody know the number for this belt ? And also a diagram for installing the belt ? Thanks.

A Woods 59 IS only one L-O-N-G belt!---BUT if it be a look alike ,(cant remember the name right now) then it would use three belts.---IH used these on cub tractors before they went to woods. thanks ac fleet

He means a L59 uses just one long belt. Maybe post a pic of your mower!

The Woods L59 belt part # is 3652.
You can go to the Woods web site and request any manual, they will email it to you free, I have done it. Very helpful to have the manuals. Go to www.woodsequipment.com/manualRequest.aspx You can also get most any belt from JayDee at www.JDV-Belts.com The JD # for the L59 belt is B225K. Bill B Edited by wbecker - 08 Jan 2017 at 7:03pm |

Since these belts are so expensive, some people have adapted the mower to have 2 belts, one to drive the main pulley and one or even two to drive the blades. They usually put in a tensioner pulley for the blades. Does yours have an extra tension pulley on it? Got any pics of it Lee?

The Woods belt is pricey; can obtain great quality belts less expensive. The generic belt is a B225; that is, B style, 225 inches long. Check wit your local NAPA, Tractor Supply, or JayDee Belts (link below)
http://www.jdv-belts.com/catalogs.html You can obtain a PDF copy of the Owners Manual from the Woods site (link below. I can also email you a copy if you PM me your regular eMail address. http://www.woodsequipment.com/ These mowers require careful alignment of the deck and tensioner pulleys...and proper tightening of the belt for the single belt to work good because of the many twists it has when installed. If your has been properly modified fot two belts, you should have fewer twists Edited by GregLawlerMinn - 09 Jan 2017 at 8:03am |

Bought a belt online that has lasted quite well and wasn't bad on price. It may have been from V-belts.com or something like it. I was told to make sure I get a kevlar belt which I did. As I said in a previous reply you can find the manual online or I will be happy to email it to you also.

Someone did modify it and add an idler on the deck. I'll try and post some pics tonight. It was in pieces when I purchased it and wasn't mounted to a tractor.
