What type lock washer was used on N62 engine at rod bolts? Was it internal star, external star, or a bend over type? I don't have a manual that describes them. Any help Appreciated. Thanks Tracy Martin

Tracy, none of my manuals tells.  Just lock washer.  the picture in my I&T manual looks like a standard split ring lock washer.  I'm sure someone here has one apart. If not, you may consider contacting a Psychic.  LOL

Dave, all of mine have internal star washers. Monte of Monte's Continental Engines in Chicago says they were the bend over type lock washer. I was hoping someone would have a Continental manual that showed the correct ones. I don't think the star washer will allow a consistant torque reading on bolt. Tracy Martin
