Saturday my Dad and I went to an estate sale of a guy that collected and parted out tractors. There were lots of tractor parts and junk. The fellow had 6 complete Allis G's and numerous parts. The weather was cold and it had rained for a few days prior. A perfect auction day. The G's all had reserves set by the widow and only one sold for around 1700-1800$ it was complete but rough. Anyway They had a D14 that I know ran in 2005 and he had on ebay around that time. I bought it and also found the draw bar and 3 point adapter in various piles of parts that I was able to get. The daughter said he rebuilt it when he painted it. It has front cultivators and I was able to buy the rear in another lot. It was paired up with a John Deere toolbar and the other bidder ran the bid up pretty high. After I purchased it he offered me $50.00 for the deere toolbar.I told hime I would split the price with him and he acted offended so I just carried on. It needs a rear tire and rim but otherwise its in great shape. Serial number 7771

I sure love my D-14. I like how the D-series looks in a narrow front, would like to find a NF for my WF.

Very nice D14! Sure must have been wet there judging by the mud on the tires. Sheet metal looks nice and straight. I spotted an AC logo on the oil filter - did the previous owner have a case or two on hand for his orange machines? How is the tranny? Congrats on your buy!!

Looks like you got a good one. Aren't those Deere people odd?

It has not ran in at least a year or two. I had to pull it on the trailer so I dont know about the trans. I did buy all the Allis parts they had except the G stuff and I will post a picture of the front of the trailer loaded with parts. I bid on all the G stuff and most only got 1 or 2 bids over mine. I'll post more pictures tonight

SOuthern Do you know what this gentilmans ebay name was? I talked to a guy a couple years back that had several G's and parted out tractors in Alabama. I haven't seen him on ebay for sometime. What town was the sale close to? Nice tractor,I have a d-14 NF that I really like. Gary

Gary the fellow went by Fatherof14 or something close. He lived just southwest of Sylacauga AL which is south or Birmingham on Hwy 280.

I bought from him in years past. I hadn't seen him on there in a while, guess that explains it. Rest in Peace.

Very nice! I noticed the grill still has the punch out for the hand-crank. Did those even come with a hand-crank, and if so, where did they stow it?

The grille knock-out was not for a hand crank.
Crankshaft pulley was not meant for a hand crank.
The knock-out was for the drive shaft for a front mount hydraulic pump required for model 414 and 415 hydraulic loader.

Nice, I sorta wish one of mine had a narrow frontend! I currently have 2 and have sold a previous one I had. They are the perfect size for me and my small acreage and short legs!!

The early D14's were indeed equipped for a hand crank. I would have to check the parts book to be able to quote the serial break, but it was early in the production run that the crank pulley was changed to eliminate the hand crank jaws. My '57, SN 3330 has the early style pulley.
