Bought this D15 diesel from a fellow forum member back in the Spring.
But I am now having to consider possibly letting it go. I've had some circumstances change since then, and may not have the time to devote to a restoration, for it's looking like I may have a lot of other things on my plate in the next coming year or two, including possibly moving. So, let me provide a good long description below: This rare little tractor is a good candidate for a resto project. Has a lot of good things for it. Only thing I was disappointed on is that the hand clutch can get temperamental about staying in high. It requires letting the tractor warm up and some patience and eventually it will stay in and not pop out. The seller wasn't very forthcoming with this issue, but , when you buy sight unseen , you 're always taking a leap of faith that you're going to get full disclosure on every point. Other than that, it is as it was said it would be. It's over all a complete machine with good potential. It starts right up in this summer weather without any aid, and runs on all fours. Smokes some, but gets a little better when warmed up. It has what I call, the typical amount of blow-by for a old Buda when it it gets idled way down. It gallops along up and down the hills without issue. The transmission lever it's self shifts smooth and easy and stays in gear. Its a fairly quiet running rear end, no funny or alarming noises. The Pto and lift work fine. Brakes seem to hold pretty good. Antifreeze is clean and green. Tractor holds its Temp and oil pressure very well. Middle-age must be catching up to me, because the tractor is insanely loud to me. Someone straight piped it, I presume, because they were not brave enough to try to get the 4 bolts out of the manifold. Manifold itself is in solid shape. I've been throwing my oval Nelson muffler up on it from my 175 when I go joy riding - makes a world of difference. Engine has no cracks patches or welds. Doesn't appear to have any major work done to it in several years. The silver-lining there, is that indicates it's been holding a head gasket on for a good long time; and anyone familiar with the old BUDAs knows that's a major positive. The rear rims are solid and rear tires are very nice yet-still have the nubbies on the sidewalls - they've probably never had fluid in them. Right fender has been patched, all other sheet metal is pretty nice still. Has one of the nicer drawbars I've personally ever seen. No welds or reinforcements. Hole is still good and round. As you'll see in the photo's, tractor does have some farmer ingenuity or "sins of the farmer" , depending on your point of view!.....Notably, the wiring: It has 3 solenoids....I don't know why....I Think it should only have two. The one mounted on the belt pulley plate obviously shouldn't exist at all or should be elsewhere. Some of the wires are just plain scary and need replacing anyway. They mounted a alternator on the side rail and left the generator in place to preserve the power steering. So, if anyone has interest, please PM me for further details and info. If I don't receive a reasonable offer by late fall, I might mothball it till Spring, at which point, I may consider trades, either up or down, but again the trade would have to be something that'd require little to no wrenching or polishing. Most sources state that there were less than 1000 D15 diesels built, but I don't think that is accurate. It seems like only 1000 or so serial #s got recorded by AC, but total production could likely be closer to 2000. Still pretty rare though.

Yep, they do not come up for sale very often. I think there were around a 1000 units of each series made, so total production is in the ballpark of 2000. Just bought mine last week - a Series I like yours, but with a narrow front end.
