The show is in Bracebridge, Ontario,183Km (115mi) north of Toronto, started on Friday. Frank Duck and his committee did a good job of arranging the AC display for the Allis Chalmers Club of Ontario. There was a 50KM (30mi)parade. Although they were not able to participate, here is some pictures of some construction machinery(the D Grader looks like it could of been comfortable on the scenic parade). What models are these crawlers? If these pictures are too large, I apoligize. I have tried and tried to re-size, but..... . Maybe someone could resize and post. Enjoy. Ross.

Good work Ross. The crawler with the GM diesel is a HD-5 and I believe was donated to the club. The newer one is a 6G .

Thanks Calvin.   Both crawlers appear to have the same engines.   Ross.

Hi.   What do you think the two welded brackets, welded on the side frames just below the motor of the 'D' grader, are for?   Ross.

Ross, they may be loader brackets.  I've never seen one, but Norm's books say they made a loader, and a shoulder maintainer, for the D.  Would be hell to operate, looking over your shoulder, IMHO!!! Edited by DiyDave - 13 Jul 2016 at 6:04pm

Dave.   Thank you for the note. I think that Gilbert Vust has one, with a loader, in his museum. I have seen literature with one mounted; but, the picture was not very good. Do you feel your neck is getting very stiff? LOL. Great exercise program: forward-reverse-forward-reverse--stand up-sit down-stand up-sit down--shift forward- shift backward-shift forward -- and -- and -- turn to the left- turn to the right no power steering)- work the clutch - work the brakes - and don't forget to scratch your arse. Wow, love the new rear mounted loader.   Ross.
