Saw a Eastwood Sales flyer at work, was looking at my old Sharps paint gun and had taken it to a body man I know to see why it sprays so heavily. Tip on the Sharps is close to 3mm, the largest he sprays with is a 1.8mm typically uses a 1.3mm so this was likely a Industrial Gun for LARGE Components and from a factory setting some thirty five years ago.
The Eastwood ad had two spray heads three gravity cups and three tips along with a DeKups kit(Liners) so can evolve myself beyond the old firehose and will probably use on the KW. |

May I ask how much it cost? Am I right in thinking the cup has a plastic liner so cleanup is easier? High tech from my old body and fender class at VoTech in the mid 60's

Entire kit shipped free was $330 and change
HVLP So more paint less air to apply, works at 35psi as opposed to the old paint guns like my sharps that had to have 70psi just to syphon Seems the ability to find someone willing to paint this project of mine with a big enough shop is equally As hard as getting anyone to apply for jobs!! Last guy I requested a estimate from said could maybe get to it in six or seven months!! No help to get any sooner. |

I no longer use my guns ( DeVilbisses...),old skool paint. You NEED proper guns for 'water' paint vs 'enamel' and another for 'clear coat' and HVLP guns are different than 'old skool'.. 'Kid' next door has 6-7 guns, last one cost $600( a 'deal' he said), sure is nice to see HIS work.. NO runs, NO fisheyes, super smooth and shiny...unlike the krap I see on brand new cars and pickups today.
