I replaced the old felt oil seal with a CR 13865 single lip rubber seal.  The shaft doesn't have oil grooves. The shaft looked good but I polished it with 400 grit and finsihed with 600 JIC. It leaks.  Any ideas why?  Is there a felt seal available anymore or do I have to speedi sleeve. It looks like the SKF 99138 will work. Thanks.

Thanks.  Was still able to get the leather version from AGCO. $30 non-returnable.

Mike-
FYI  Picked up the new AGCO seal. The guy who placed the order got it wrong. AGCO # 70207993  has been replaced with 70225450 which is actually  CR-132865 , a single lip nitrile rubber. It's the same seal I have that leaks. Guess I have to speedi sleeve the  shaft.

I figured the leather seal would supersede to newer lip seal.
I was wondering the part in parentheses (for shafts w/return oil groove)
