I recently got a model 74 planter that has been modified to a 2 row for food plots. I am curious if someone can tell me how to adjust the planting depth. I assume it has something to do with the cotter pin and bar with the holes on the press wheel but not sure which way to move the pin. Thanks

Correct. The 70 series planters control depth by a pin and strap. To increase planting depth, move the pin to a higher hole. The two sets of holes allow for 1/2" increments. The Strap is important, as it can be flipped over end for end to make the increments smaller.
Have fun.
