what is the model 170 loader for? What does it fit? This sub-frame sure sits awful low on the 170 tractor, yet the rear axel brackets polt up to the fender bolts perfectly and the 2 holes for side rails on tractor match up too. Top pin hole for loader arms sits below the hood line, my other One-Seventy's loader sits above the hood line Thought this loader frame would be for the 170 tractor, sure was fooled in that thought. Thanks for any info. on the loader.

The D-14 Model 14 Tube Loader became the Model 140 with a Box Boom. The D-15 Model 15 Tube Loader became the Model 150 with a Box Boom. The D-17 Model 17 Tube Loader became the "Model 170" with a Box Boom. G |

Cylinders that came with the subframe are single acting cylinders. Did a measurement from pin hole for boom to ground that was 50" and did the same with other One-Seventy and old Globeman loader and it was 61" to boom pin, and much farther forward. Yellow dot in the muffler area in pic is where the pin hole is on that one. Would a 500 loader be a taller loader? |

400 and 500 loaders BOTH have a brace that connects the towers together. 500 taller than a 400. This is a trip bucket loader ??

I didn't get the boom with it. The subframes, rear brackets, cross bar and main single acting cylinders was all I got.
If any indications from the single acting lifting rams, then I would suspect the loader to be a trip bucket affair. Don't recall ever seeing a loader with tilt cylinders that the lift cylinders were single acting. My thoughts when I bought the subframes was I have a square boom from a loader that had the tube sub-frame and possibly the two would match up... but I didn't realize how low the upper pin hole was compared to the current loader I use, and that one is maxxed when setting a round bale on top of the other bales. Doubt this 170 loader would clear with the pivot so low and so far back, unless there was a longer boom put on it. I was talking to another fellow at the auction and he was talking about his series IV nit being enough tractor for the loader on it, it was a DUAL 340 loader, practically the same loader I was asking about a while ago to put on the 170... but changed my mind and someday put that on a 190. |
