Took my 45 gaser and 53 plow plowing yesterday. Fun. Plowed alfalfa fields, about 30 acres. The Allis seemed to plow better(smoother too) in third than in second. Altho there were some rough spots that I had to plow in second. There was a JD 730 with a mounted three bottom that I had no problem keeping up with. I don't know what size his plow bottoms were, or the depth. Altho I could see that his depth was not constantly the same. It did appear that the bigger tires on the JD made for smoother riding.
There was a Case SC plowing also.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Sometimes a faster ground speed makes it plow a lot better. Any pictures????  It is so dry at the farm right now all I would be able to do is stir up dust.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.
