I saw the Mitchell ad somewhere else recently and more of it was shown. There is no bell under the B. The front of the plow beam attaches to the round part of the plow mount with a latch that rolls around the round bar much like the release hitches on old trailer plows rolled around the clevis bolted to the tractor drawbar.

I zoomed in and I don't see a bell Dave. I do notice that the lift must be hand operated and not hydraulic like a CA.

Maybe the hand lift only operates the latch coupler???

I found the pic of the latch, and saved it to my laptop as a JPG file. I don't know how to post it on this site.

Let's see if I can help. Click "Reply" on this thread or start a new topic if you like. At the top of the new page that opens there will be an icon above the new black box that if you hoover your cursor over it, it should read "insert image". On my computer that icon is square with an image of a tree in it. Click that icon. Now a new window or box opens titled "Image Properties" and in the lower left there should be a "Browse" button. Click that and a new box opens. At the top of that box it might say "Desktop".... if it says something else then there should be two arrows to the right, one up and one down. Click the arrows and a list should pop up and hopefully there will be "Desktop" listed. Click "Desktop" and a list of what is on your desktop will appear. Find your photo, click it and then at the button of that box there should be a button that says "Open". Click "Open". Now you're back to your "image properties" box. Lower left there should be an "Upload" button, under the Browse button. Click "Upload". Then another little box may pop up that says "Please be patient while the image is uploaded to the server". Click "OK" and the pic should be seen in that little "Image Properties" box. Go to the lower right of that window and click "OK" and it should be uploaded then click "Post Reply" and you are done.

That's assuming you saved the pic to your desktop. Otherwise where ever you saved it to is where you go rather than where I said "Desktop".

What Lonn said, but just for your information, the quick reply box at the bottom of this thread does NOT have that tree picture icon. You have to click the Post Reply button to the left and above the quick reply box.
If you hit the quote button, it Will have the tree icon for uploading a picture.

Clicking on the slanting arrow to the right of the Text Colour "A" will expand the response box and give you more options including posting pictures.

I saved the Mitchell image to my desktop. When I click on the insert image icon, a box pops up asking me for the web address. Not sure what to do next.

That box doesn't have a Browse button in the lower left?

I guess an old dog CAN learn new tricks. I just did. Thanks for pointing that out.

Gentlemen,  Please remember the snap coupler for a B was an add on attachment that could be attached to just about any B.  It was an attempt by Allis Chalmers to make the B more modern with a snap coupler.  Also, you could use it to hook up a three point hitch made for snap coupler.
If I recall you turned the drawbar around, hooked up the snap coupler and got new lift arms and rams for the rear.  It would handle a two bottom plow in not so tough soil.
Hope this is some help.
Good Luck!
