Anyone have experience with them. Looking for a new set to use as duals. Price is good but that's all I know.

used to be sold in the U K by Continental Tyres but they have suffered from inner liner seperation over the last few years,So they are sold under the Mitas name now.

So basically JUNK then. Maybe I'll go with BKT tires then, they seem to be pretty good and reasonably priced.

We have a lot of people using Samson tires around here with good results. BKTs are not much less than Firestones here, so if you are going to go that route, you might check to see what a set of Firestone SATII tires would run to compare.

They opened a factory in Charles City Iowa which is not too far from here. Now a lot of farmers are buying them to support local jobs. So far everyone I talked to has been happy with them.

I have a set of the AC 85 Mitas tires on my 8050. They made a lot of difference on how the tractor rides, the price was fair, and they are made in Iowa now with a good warranty. I have seen a lot of this model of tire in service on tractors where I used to work and they held up well.

I have a set of Alliance tires on my 6080. They started cracking within 18 months of being installed. Everytime I look at that tractor I get mad at myself for putting them on. My vote is Firestones.

In the last 18 months to 2 years i must have changer 30 Continental/Mitas tyres due to inner liner breakup the first the farmers knew about it was when the tyre went flat we took the tyres off and the liner was split all the way round the inside.

Well I went with the mitas AC 85 tires, they're getting put on tomorrow. We have a large dealer here and they said they've sold between 7000 and 8000 of these across the US and only had to replace 1 due to damage from something in the field. They deal with all the major brands so I have no reason to doubt them. They could have tried pushing far more expensive tires on me. We also put a pair on one of the sprayers at work just the other day, same exact tires I'm getting so we'll see just how good they are.

I've got 2 sets of Mitas radials, 20.8R38's. They have been excellent so far. Both tractors had Goodyears on them when I bought them several years ago, I hate GY tires, but I ran them down. When I put the Mitas on, both tractors got so much better traction that I had to drop a gear on them pulling the same ripper I have always pulled, even when the GY tires were around 90%. I usually try to buy Firestone tractor tires, but the Mitas have surprised me so far.

I have 3 sets of Mitas, fronts and backs on the 8050, liked them so much that just last week put a set on the front of the 4760 jd. They all have really deep tread, My understanding is that the ones made in Iowa are different than those made over seas. They sure do ride nice and they are now OEM for the major players. rieg swoh

BKTs seem to be good. I have had a pair on a d17 for 4yrs. They are $50-100 per tire cheaper than satII.

Definitely not knocking BKT tires, we have one on a TN65 that lost the sidewall of a titan with about 50% tread and it has worn very well, even with a lot of pavement driving between barns with the manure spreader on the farm. I had a tough time tracking down BKT tires in 18.4 34 bias size last year for a Ford 6610, and when I did find a pair, they were something like $50-75 less total, which for that size tire, was not much difference. I have heard that the Firestones of today are not the same durable rubber compound that they were a decade ago, but not sure if that is a wives tale or truth. Hurst
