The Mid Iowa Antique Power Show that opened today and runs to Sunday August 5, 2018 is featuring Allis Chalmers tractors and a few implements along with lots of hit and miss engines and a field of green and red tractors. Its about 8 miles west of Marshalltown, just south of the county jail and sheriff's office. I took a couple pictures from a distance of the Allis field Friday afternoon.

Marshalltown in 1997 or 1998 was first G.O.O. show that I exhibited (G with front loader). Was parked next to a G that had wheelbase shortened 28".  Many field work teams threshing, etc. just west of buildings.  Arland Leper and his team did a great job. Herb(GA)

There are some really nice things on display, took a bunch of pics, will post them later. It's been a long day!

Got to do some plowing with the wide front 45 today, I like it! Ground was like concrete!

A few shots of some of my favorites from the show. The miniatures are unbelievable. They look and work like originals, are 1/2 scale. I didn't get a shot of the mini roto-bailer but will today.

Wow!  That is the first four bladed disc plow I have ever seen and it even has the weight above the coulter wheel/blade.  Pretty heavy implement I imagine.  Thanks very much for posting.

Disc plows are pretty rare in this country and a 4 disc, snap couple on a 190 I thought was noteworthy. Had a great time at the show, especially the plowing. I have lots more pics I will post later, Mike.

Thanks for posting the pics.  My wife and I attended our first GOTO at Marshalltown in 1998.  Arland Lepper was the first A-C person we spoke to.  Arland did a great job with the 1998 GOTO.

I went out to plow and when I got back this Rumley was in my parking spot. In the process of negotiating for my spot back came to the conclusion his tractor was much nicer than my working girl so I wiggled some stuff around and left him on the end.

That's an interesting way to clamp on the duals on that 220.

Gaylord De Jong is the builder of those 1/2 size A-C machines. I used to work with his son. He says his dad spent about 2 years on each piece. I asked if the Roto Baler would actually make a bale and he thought it probably would although he's never tried to. One interesting thing is all of the PTO shaft u joints are actually GM C/K truck steering intermediate shafts.

Was the 1/2 size WD a marketing tool, or built by an enthusiast?  If the latter, who built it, and what did they use for componentry?
Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.

OK you got me, that mini 45 is amazing! I zoomed in and the details are great. Heck it would take me 20 years to whittle something like that out! Just Awesome work! If you ever see the owner tell him for me!:) Cant imagine the work. If he has pictures of the build I would love to see them!
The other mini equipment is just as nice too! WOW!
Regards,
 Chris

Beach Master I believe. A rare piece.

Grinder, I thought that was an interesting way to mount those duals too. Was just glad he didn't come out to plow! While it would have been nice to watch, there was only 4 acres to plow.
