Anyone ever purchase items from their sales? How are they to deal with, I see they have a buyers premium. I think you have to go thru them to speak to the person consigning the items, just to ask questions. Va is a long way but may make a neat trip, it will probably be dry that week and won't be able to get away!

Setup a proxibid with them on a tractor at one auction. The tractor sold for the amount of the bid but someone at the auction got the tractor. I ask what happened and was told that the auctioneer could take whichever bid he wanted, mine or the person at the auction. If you want something very bad better go to the auction.

Charles, I had the same thing happen. I hollered at em, but didn't get anywhere. I told em that MY bid was there first and that I should be the winner OR the guy sitting there should HAVE to bid higher. Eventually the guy hung up on me and I'm done with them!

It's easier to deal with someone who is physically present. I'd bet they let internet bids lay on the back burner unless nobody else bids that amount.

Well they are auctioneers so if they have a person they know, buddies with there at the auction Verses some faceless internet bid.Well guess who gets the nod? Got to figure there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff with that much money being swapped hands.

A person who has never had his bid ignored at an auction must not have been to many? Amish auctions with Amish auctioneers are particularly bad about it for certain items.

A friend buys there often. He pays an extra fee and they call him on the phone 2 or 3 tractors before the one he wants. He bids from his phone while they are selling it. Tom

I will NOT attend an auction sale that uses buyers premium.
I wish everyone the the same, then the buyers premium would go away. Dusty
