I've been doing a search for M7 Snowtractor (WW2 tracked A-C unit) and can't find postings. I know I've seen them here before. We've got two of them at this time. One is a very early M7-2 serial and still retains its original white paint and hood numbers. Great vehicles and interesting history. Does anyone else here have one? The one in the image below is in Colorado, not far from where it was likely originally based--Camp Hale with the 10th Mtn Div. Thanks, Dave.

Thanks for the replies. We have collected up a lot of parts as well over the years for it. We have enough to do the complete undercarriage--basically NOS idlers to drive tumblers and in between. Nos axles, NOS brake shoes and drums, most of the harnesses NOS, NOS gas tank, NOS aux trans, NOS pintle, and the list goes on. A lot of rare stuff to go with.
They're really not that complex and hard to restore if you have the parts as this one does. The side panels are often missing as are the little items like spotlight, correct speedo, and so on. This one has all that as well as NOS flue and pre-heater. Tracks will need to be repaired like all of them. This one will likely go up for sale soon, my brother and I are both looking to downsize. Just wanted to find other owners to get their take on things and share this time capsule with the crowd here. Will post up more pics when I get a chance. Thanks once again. Regards, Dave.

Now that is neat, I didn't know that they made such a thing. What is the composition of the tracks? are they rubber like the half track or steel? any pictures of a complete one? I have seen an AC snow tractor in the Sierras, I believe that it had a Chevy engine and full tracks.
