Yesterday Gail Schpansky of Marshall MN was killed in an explosion.  He had two Beach Master tractors at one time.  very knowledgeable Allis man, will be missed.

He was a friend of mine, knew him about 15 years or so.  Always treated me well.  I thought of him yesterday afternoon, before I heard what happened, kind of eerie.  I helped him get his 82 mower and hay crimper ready for the demonstrations at the show in Hutch a few years ago.  He always did a super job restoring his tractors and cars.   A good all around guy.  Sympathies to all his family and friends.  REST IN PEACE, MY FRIEND...

I would venture a gas explosion, considering there is nothing left of the house.

MARSHALL, Minn. (Dakota News Now) - UPDATE, 1:30 p.m.

Officials have released the name of the man killed in a home explosion near the town of Marshall, Minn.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said 74-year-old Gail Schipansky died in Thursday morning’s blast.

A 71-year-old woman injured in the explosion was taken to a Marshall hospital. Authorities say she is in serious, but stable condition.

The cause of the explosion, which was felt by some residents in Marshall two miles away, is still unknown. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating in conjunction with the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Pretty sad, did not know him well but did talk to him several times at Hutch, bid against him on a 185 onetime at a sale, had a good visit with him after that.  His wife has some pretty bad burns, say she is stable, sympathies to the family.

He was a big part of the Orange Spectacular. He ran the swap meet for years. Classic Tractor Fever has a video of him with his Beachmaster. Maybe someone can link it to here.

You know, several years ago I got a call from someone about a beachmaster.  May well have been him.
My Thoughts and Prayers are with him and his family.
May God's Rich Blessings be on the family.
Good Luck!

Terrible news. Proud to have been able to call him a friend. A good friend bought a D-19 gas that he restored perfectly. Was hoping to consult with Gail on my future BeachMaster restoration. RIP Gail and best wishes for Nancy's recovery.

More sad news, this morning Nancy passed from her injuries from the explosion.  They will both be missed by many.
