Bout two weeks ago, I noticed the backspace button on keyboard was some sluggish and now it will not work at all,,fact is it start to put dashes to the forward ,,!!! WTH,,?? The UP and the DN and the right keys work as susspossed to but the left or backspace key does not work,,fact is it is now printing spaced dashes to the right,,,WTH,,?? Here is what I have already tried,,,, 1. Turn OFF the STICKY KEYS and the FILTER KEYS feature. .2. Go to RUN then devmgmt.msc and UNINSTALL keyboard, shut down, reboot and REINSTALL keyboard. 3. Re-install latest DRIVERS 4. Windows says latest driver is already installed,,,WTH,,,?? Anybody had this issue and fixed theirs,,?? This is so dang aggravating,,makin my blazin fast two fingered typin slow down even more,,,,,,

Don't you have a couple of ole dusty key boards that you could swap one out and see if that helps.

Take keyboard to shop, blow compressed air to remove 'gunk' from it. try it out... If that doesn't fix it... as Dave says ,swap for another keyboard If that doesn't fix it... I'd check the keyboard configuration or whatever windows calls it these days. It should be set to 'USA' but might have been changed ( hmmm ...2 weeks ago) by some website or ap you looked at.

Pokin it to hard with that right index. Try a different USP port, I had a mouse once act up and I used a different USB port. Has worked fine since.

Yep, try another board first. If that works, then take your non working one out and GENTLY blow it out. Could be crud under it, but I doubt it. I'd just go with a new keyboard......

By Golly,,,I'm back in business,,,,!!! I tried all 6 of the "spare" keyboards I had been scrounging in the garage and all of them had some problem or the other,,maybe thas why they was in the garage in the first place,,,???? I'ma gonna have to close my eyes and chunk em all into the trash trailer this time,,,, Snuk down to Walmart and ,,,,,,,,,yep,,,bought a brand spankin new keyboard for ,,,$10.87,,,,gosh,, it is so nice to not have your fingers stick to the keys and not have to backspace and re-type so dang much,,,,,,  Gonna have to watch my eatin habits a little closer now, tho,,,,, Chit,,, I believe I'm gettin my Lightning 2 finger typin speed back ,,little by little,,,

I'm glad you're 'up and running' DJ ! Sad thing is I used to get paid $100 to clean/repair 'specialty' keyboards 2-3 decades ago.Sigh that was easy money for me. Now I'd suggest you 1) toss out ALL the rest of them... and 2) go back to WallyWorld and buy a 2nd IDENTICAL keyboard. Confirm it works, then repackage, place on shelf. That way you KNOW you have a GOOD keyboard ready to go next time. yes, there will be a next time..... Heck even I, the packrat of PCs, gave away 9 laptops and 5 towers this summer not that there's any empty spaces in the lab...sigh....guess to lasers have to go soon...

Hmm - heard that running them in the dishwasher would kill or cure them -
Then I have been using the Microsoft split - curved keyboard for years - no one liked them way back when i worked in Mfg plant so I stocked up on them when IT decided to just shelve them - then picked up a couple at Goodwill also for $2 - so have a lifetime supply - until they all die or i do

You know,,Coke,,I see quite a few of them at yard sales but never look at them as I figure they was just as ,,,,,,UMmmm...,frugal as I am ,,so they got all the goody out of them before passin em on to somebody else. I tried one of them split keyboards once,,,but my two fingered approach was not compatible with it,,,,

Yep, seems like the prices have come down enough so that even I am getting some backup stuff..... NOW, if they only made some of these laptops cheaper.......
An I GOTTA have my mouse!!! It's a Logitech M570,,,,,,,,,an I wouldn't use ANY other!! None of that carpal tunnel for me!! I'm just usin my THUMB instead of movin my WHOLE wrist and arm around.......
Joe, I'm up to 4 fingers on EACH hand!!

Dang,,Ted,,you is chittin in tall cotton for sure,,,,four fingers,,huh,,??? Chit,,man,,thas blazin speed for sure,,,,,, My youngest Son be sittin in den watchin me do my version of two fingered speed typin and he'll say,,," Dad,,why don't you just learn how to type with all 10 fingers? That way you don't have to do so much "backspacing" to correct your mistakes" HMMmmmm,,,maybe thas why thet dang Backspace key wore out on the last keyboard,,???

which one's the ring finger?? You could pick your nose with a different one every day... How would you know if someone is pointing a finger at you? HOW do you give the one finger salute?!?! SHEESH!! Too many questions and NO answers....

Dang show off  . I think it maybe time to put high binders in there place( if only I knew were that is),typing with more than 2 fingers,fixing a tractor in less than a year,or ............even getting more than one done in a year!!!!!!!!!!! Poke,poke poke
