Two weeks from today is the set up day for the 2017 Land of Lincoln Expo Tractor Show in Carlinville, IL.  The show will be held at the Macoupin County Fairgrounds, 21368 Route 4 North, Carlinville, IL.  62626.  Show dates are Friday through Sunday, June 16, 17, & 18. Set up day is Thursday, June 15.   This is an all brands, working clothes to fully restored, no entry fee, no entrance admission, everyone's welcome show.  There are a limited number of RV hook ups at the fairgrounds.  There are 3 campgrounds within 15 miles. The Carlin Villa Motel is on Rt. 4 south of town.  The Magnuson Grand Hotel is on I-55 at Exit 60, 12 miles east of town.  Litchfield is about 22 miles from the fairgrounds and has several major brand motels.  Brands will be displayed together.  Food and drinks will be available on grounds.  Parts vendors are welcome.  There will be a daily tractor parade.  A tractor drive will occur on Saturday and part of the route will be on the original Route 66. The Macoupin County Historical Society will be open for tours of their mansion and grounds with a shuttle bus available, free, on Saturday morning.  Indoor exhibitor space is available.  Under roof storage is available for those expensive tractors.  A rib & brisket cook off will occur on Saturday with craft beer tasting.  A band will provide entertainment.  Call Bill Miller for more info.  217-502-4504.  E-mail:  shinola@royell.org.
