There's a a post on NAT about the "collars" on the bearing/shaft. A guy claims that the cylinder bearings on an L2 machine does not have the collar, only red LokTite to hold those bearings in place . Is he correct ?

Loctite red or green is a good idea. But, the truth is each side of the threshing cylinder has a nut on the end of each shaft. The nut squeezes a hub up against the side of each bearing keeping them from creeping on the shaft. Thus, no lock collar is needed.
