im looking at a 7gb for sale in little rock it seems to be a clean machine .the only thing it has dozer type pads on it single grouser .isnt this hard on the final drives on a loader i remember my day saing u cant use dozer pads on a loader.  the guy has had it for years and has never loaded with it just pushed  fill  dirt fillling in a pond.

Pushing or most work would not effect the machine that much and the grousers would not effect the actual machine EXCEPT for track and under-carriage wear.
 When turning with a loader bucket full of material the one track skids , pivoting kind of on the center of that stopped track. This is when stress is put on the lower rollers and track pins and side rails. 
 With my HD5G I loaded many trucks and also with the HD4 loader and one will notice one track is always worn more that the other as most operators always load in the same direction and the right track will have the most wear. One reason when looking at a machine to check both sides .

If you can't find loader pads you can always take a torch to the grousers and trim them down a little. I know of one small loader that always had final drive problems until they torched off the dozer grousers.
