Our 8070 has lever lock couplers that leak from the shafts on the levers. I have changed the seals and it slowed them down. Nothing looked visible wrong but I’m tired of the mess.
Should I put a push/pull Safeway or pioneer in its place or new lever locks?

Yes, replace them with what ever you like. The lever couplers are junk.

Ditto's on the lever style. Shoup does offer them complete for under 200 bucks if you want to stay with what you have. Otherwise the Bruining style couplers that AC used up until the Pioneer style are still some of the best. Good Luck, Mike

Are Bruning the ones with the stamped lever that releases the coupler?

Yes, that's right!

Been there, done that.   Changed two 8000 series to the old style Allis and have never looked back!

I burnt a new plate out for our 6080 and had a friend finish mill the holes for Safeway push/pulls and I like them better then the Brunings. So I may make new mounts for the 8000 also. Thanks for the input. I just wanted to know if others had had problems with the lever locks.
