Ok guys.... so I am looking for another opinion, I guess. Can I wire LED lights into a positive ground tractor? I think that i should be able to, as long as I just hook it up so that the positive side of the light is connected to the 'ground'.... right?

As long as the led light has two wires and you observe the positive voltage going to the positive wire on the light so if you have a positive ground on the tractor you connect the positive wire on the light to the frame ground on the tractor. You should be good.

That's kinda what I thought...thanks for second opinion, much appreciated. I did some looking around and confused myself, but I just realized a moment ago that they were talking about putting a LED 1157 (or whatever) into a socket with a pos ground, it wouldn't work. ~ Ben

OK, one option that will work, is to 'float' the light base. If you electrically isolate the metal base THEN you can run LEDs on a +ve gnd tractor. I use 1/2" 'plastic' though rubber works fine. The 'trick' is to be sure the light base doesn't connect to the tractor. Jay

Good idea... If I ever need to run a LED into a base I will have to try that. Thanks, Ben
