 Topic: L2 RWA hydraulic leak help

I have an 82 L2 and for the last couple years one of the hydraulic motors on the Rwa has been leaking while it sits in the barn and it's getting worse. It doesn't leak when running and it's not the planetary. I haven't been able to tell where it's coming from but I think it's near the top of the unit. I plan on trying to fix it this summer before harvest. Does anyone know any common places to start or have any advice. Thanks in advance.

I remember a swivel fitting on mine that would leak. Replacement one was better design.

Probably the top swivel fitting. Take the little cover off 2 quarter inch bolts I think... Agco ones are close to $300, you can cross reference sizes and get a generic for about 1/4 that price.

Update and help needed. It is the swivel that was leaking. I’ve been working on this off and on through the summer and I am now on the third round of trying to order parts. This past time I got what looks like it should be a swivel seal but it’s too small in diameter. part # 71341629. My swivel is .940 inside the oring grove and 1.180 outside of the swivel stud. I realize it may be a long shot but does anyone have any experience with these. The dealer said he was going to call Agco Monday morning.
I have temporarily installed o rings from my stock oring kit to hopefully run in 2 wd.

just did both the swivels on ours. theres a kit part number ill find it. put a vaccum on the tank and you loose no oil which is nice. its surely worth rebuilding them because the new fitting is BIG BUCKS.

Well I finally figured out the problem. Someone took the oem swivels off and put in new ones manufactured by Hydraulics Inc. after a short conversation with them I got new seals ordered for $7.80 each and found out that new swivels are only $80 apiece. Agco’s seal kits were half that and they wanted $2600 for all 4 swivels. If anyone wants replacements for the factory swivel the part number is 9S12J12-012. They are rated for 4000psi.

Thanks for the info. When I get done combining I will check mine out. They don’t leak much when using it but when setting it leaks bad.
