Matt, the WD engine serial number will be WD xxx KA, and will have all the WD engine particulars, i.e. plate on right side, WD head, WD 2 port water connector on top of head, etc. and the manifold with be curved on both ends.  The 45 engine serial number will be 45 xxx K,  and will be a 45 engine.  The manifold for the 45 has a distinct angle on the right hand end to clear the larger air intake.  Both will have the starter tank in the hood. Depending on the serial number, it may have had a side discharge and no muffler hole, or it could have had a muffler.  My WD has the muffler hood and the side discharge manifold but with the muffler adapter instead of the side plate adapter, but my WD45 does not.  Let me know if you have any questions. Michael
