I just bought a later 1970's k with 12 foot flex and 330f corn head. The throat on the my friends F is wider and my k has an adapter it looks like to funnel the head down to the narrower throat on the k. What can I do or need to be able to use the corn head on on the F?

The 330f corn head is an orange one. It doesn't have the 2 big hooks on top ,just the wedge style pins.

Thanks for

I am not sure, but seems like a 330 on an F will be a sure way to have volunteer corn next summer?? We barely get by with a 4/30 on an F2.

That model head takes a adapter that will be hard if not impossible to find. You might be able to get someone to fab something up. It will also take drive line mods. Also will need the narrow tread tires and rims. If can you find a old parts catalog it would have a section on corn head adapters which might help.

If it truly is a F330 , just remove the adaptor, install a spring latch assy in the upper slots and align the sprockets.  You will need wheel shields or fabricate them if the combine has 23.1 x 26 tires - - you will be ok with 18.4 x 26 tires.
