Son just got another order for snow plows - just sent one to east coast and has a backlog of 15 skid loader plows now on the board .
just picked up cutting edges for 8 1/2 ft plows and needed 6 but his supplier could only find 2 that were not tagged for someone else . So cutting edge shortage also of edges that are center punched so they can be turned over when worn. Seems many manufacturers are now going to lighter material cutting edges and single side punching so you would need to buy new part way through a season . All our plows can be build in a light weight version for smaller machines. Koeckeritz Iron & Steel Snow Plows are available as a floating faceplate design for use on Utility Tractors and tracked machines, or rigid mount design for use on rubber tired Skid Loaders. These plows use a 1-1/4 main pin that is 10 inches long and is Grease-able. Due to the innovative backbone and pin design, these plows have substantial "walk" or side float movement in their blade, Ideal for uneven terrain and off road plowing. These plows are very well built, and very durable, and are intended for the commercial contractor.. The cross draw design allows us to move the plow several inches closer to the face-plate, which greatly improves balance on many machines. These plows INCLUDE a cross-over relief valve. (Hydraulic lines and couplers Available for $150) 5, 5 1/2, 6 & 6 1/2 foot $2050 (Smaller plows can built normal, or light weight for use on smaller tractors.) 7 & 7 1/2' $2150 8' $2250 8 1/2' $2350 9' $2500 10' $2950 Add $250 for floating Face-plate. Add $150 for Lines and Couplers. Add $100 for shoes. (We strongly recommend that you use a crossover relief valve on the hydraulics on snow plows (which is included on these units) to relieve stress if you clip a curb. If you are a homeowner who is using this plow on a lighter machine, on your own driveway, We can remove it if it from your unit and discount $100) |

Reminds me of this old chestnut:
WEATHER JOKE ....
Since he was a chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets. When he looked at the sky, he couldn't tell what the winter was going to be like. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he told his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared. But, being a practical leader, after several days he got an idea. He slipped off and called the National Weather Service and asked, "Is the coming winter going to be cold?" "It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold,” the meteorologist at the weather service responded. So the chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more firewood in order to be prepared. A week later, he called the National Weather Service again. "Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?" “Yes,” the man at National Weather Service again replied, "it's going to be a very cold winter." The chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could find. Two weeks later, the chief called the National Weather Service again. "Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?" "Absolutely," the man replied. "It's looking more and more like it is going to be one of the coldest winters we've ever seen." "How can you be so sure?" the chief asked. The weatherman replied, "The Indians are collecting a |

I put the snow tires on the 2x4 pickup today. Will put the blade on the 3/4 ton tomorrow. Will order a pair of new snow tires for her Town and Country tomorrow. And start cutting wood if I can.

trying to get my plow truck back in shape and now chasing dang rust on every line under it . Brake lines were replaced about 5 years back but still had one rusted through .
Fuel lines also - repaired 3 sections only to have the fitting at the fuel pump in the tank break as I was replacing present line . had to get repair part to fit into nylon line from pump and then another 3' of high pressure hose to finish splice . No leaks until I took it out for test run - now return line sprung a leak so back under it again . Starting to wonder if a 2000 GMC with 94,000 is going to end up as just rust setting on a pile of rust flakes .
Put new shocks on the other day as all 4 were rusted through so no oil in them - in fact one the can was rusted completely off from base . Starting to think a different truck might be in future - then with the cost of them guess another repair on fuel line is cheap. |
