Topic: Installing a loader onto a D17Posted: 30 Jan 2019 at 3:08pm |

Hi, I recently purchased a D17 (VIN is 17,xxx) which I believe is a series 1. I am new to the Allis Chalmers world. After I purchased the tractor a couple weeks later I bought a loader for it that was on a D15. I installed it onto the tractor and just had to fabricate some rear mounts for it. I am now trying to figure out the hydraulics. When it was on the D15 it had a hose from the control valve on the loader to the rear coupling hookup on the tractor. Then one hose from the control valve to a Tee fitting that was on the left side just in front of the pedals where the two steel lines have a 90* fitting into the side. I hooked it up the same way but I am not having any luck. I hooked my hoses up to another tractor and everything on the loader side works properly. The loader up/down cylinders are single action and the bucket tilt cylinder is dual action. I'm just not sure if I have it hooked up properly. Any help is appreciated. Thank You.
