in search of AC hopper

Curious on the Harry Young story - 

Harry Young was the pioneer of No Till (AC trade marked 'No til') in Christian county Ky.  and AC produced the first commercial No-Til planter.  (there were lots of other companies who built planters but AC was the first company to hit the market)  ( Deere made claims they were the first but had to retract those statement - imagine that) At the No-Til museum there is a quote "Everyone know it was Al gore who invented No- Till"  Anyway the planter was FFA restored i think, and in a shed that was hit by the Ky tornado  a month ago.   Marvin Wahlberg was the AC engineer who developed the no til coulter (an adaption of the rubber molded steel spring coulter).  Deere used the bubble coulter because they could not push the fluted coulter in the ground in dry soil - plus it pushed straw in the seed trench with acted as a 'wick effect' and dried out the crop roots. (before row cleaners) .  Allis dominated the no til market for many years until the 385 quadradisc came out and AC went to Da.  Deutz looked at the market and saw 80 % was conventional planters and did not build the narrow row frame - thus DA gave up a market they dominated to go after the 80% they had almost no representation in.  Thus until the White Planter and now Precision plant, the predecessor of Agco virtually exited the market for a few years.
