Coming to the south side of Ladysmith, Sunday, August 6th, will be a free farm tractor, equipment display and field demonstration show along with lawn and garden equipment.
Starting at 8 a.m., the Golat Implement Day Tractor and Implement Show will open to all brands of farm tractors, lawn & garden tractors along with different types of implements displayed 3 miles south of Ladysmith, east along County Highway P. At this year’s first annual tractor show, Allis-Chalmers tractors and equipment is to be featured. There is NO cost for admission along with ample free parking. This community event will be celebrating the agricultural past and present with field activities starting around 12:30 p.m. as we will be cutting, raking, baling hay, chopping haylage, plowing, disking, subsoiling and other field activities. Another area of field demonstrations, you will see lawn and garden tractors at work, too. At 10:00 a.m., there will be a Sunday Morning Church service on the showgrounds. Mid-morning we will have pedal tractor pulling which is fun for all ages. Come and cheer on the children as they show their skills during the pedal tractor pulling. They will have other tractor contests for the young and old. We will have slow tractor contest, egg drop competition, and blindfolded tractor driver contest. Come out, participate and watch the fun! A lunch cookout will be available for purchase or bring your picnic lunch. We ask no alcoholic beverages on the showgrounds, please. They are asking anyone to bring their tractors, old or new, to the one-day show, to participate for display or just come out and see the displays and afternoon fieldwork. They are looking for tractor swap, farm toy, and flea market vendors to be available at the show, too. If you are interested in having a swap spot, farm toy, craft or vendor table, please call Chet or Deb Golat (715) 532-6623 to let them know what you have to offer. No tables to be furnished or specific spots reserved. The show is only three miles south of Ladysmith on Hwy 27, the east one mile on County P…follow the signs. The show grounds are easy to drive to and easy accessible parking to see this large event. Save August 6th for the fun filled family event. |
