Yes, I did and am glad and very pleased,,except for one little thing,,,,,
Bout a couple of months ago, I had a slight disagreement with the Program Director of the cable company. I had been asking for Newsmax for a long time and after getting a petition signing going,,,they finally agreed to carry it,,,then after a few months ,,they stopped it again,,,,So,,I read up on ROKU which combines MANY others like AppleTV, HULU, Netflix, RedBox, ESPN, plus thousands more and most of them are FREE. There are many of the premium channels like HBO, and others that you have to pay for, just like cable.
Anyway, I bought the "ROKU Express 4K" set  up for $39 and uses your internet connection  to get on line. I got this going in about 30 minutes and you cannot imagine the picture quality,,,BUT,,,,I can't figure why on some of the news channels,,there is a "click" like a tongue "cluck" at end of a comment,,,? What causes that and how to stop it???

'glitch' ?
stop watching the news !

OK, it 'could' be a problem in the 'datastream' for those specific newscasts, where the beginning of one datastream doesn't 'join up' to the end of the previous 'datastream' ? Kinda like a bad splice in old skool magnetic taperecordings like 8 track tapes.

that's my guess...

If your kids got subscriptions to the pay/premium channels they can add you on their list an you can watch a lot more....
If ya do some subscriptions, they can get as costly as cable, dish, etc.

Hey Michael,,Its good to hear from you,,,, it been tooooo long Buddy,,,,
Yeah, I'm really liking that ROKU more and more,,,but I did failed to mention, that you got to be carefull that you can run up a hellacious monthly bill if you don't read carefully,,,, When they offer  you a "One Month FREE Trial" that month "IS FREE" but then there is an automatic "upgrade" to a continous monthly subscription which CAN get costly time you add up all them FREE TRIALS,,,,,,WinkWink
There are SOOOoo many free channels with them old timers programs especially thee Westerns which I like, and many others,,,,Clap
I'ma gonna give you a call this week bout some tires for the fergie,,,,Clap

Hey 200Tom,,,ROKU is a new programming that comes available on most of the new Smart TVs. Like ole Michael says,,most of the channels included  are FREE and they also have lots of the "Premium" channels like HBO, Cennemax, that you have to pay for but I have no idea how much for those,,,,You gotta watch what channels you pick as they say "FREE One Month Trial" and that month IS free but unless you cancel before the month is up it becomes a charge for every month,,!!
If you don't have A smart TV, you can do like I did and buy the ROKU device that makes your home TV able to receive the ROKU programming But ,,you gotta have an Internet connection. I ordered my "ROKU EXPRESS 4K" device from Walmart.Com for $39, and had it working in bout 30 minutes. Anybody remember "The Cisco Kid",,,,?Clap
 Hope this helps you, Tom.

Tom... If you are familiar with YOU TUBE where you can look up short movies, information, todays news.... Then you can think of ROKU working somewhat similar... You have to have a GOOD INTERNET ( fast speed) connection... normally what you use on your computer.......... You turn the TV on and you see several ICONS, just like on the computer screen.. You PICK one of the ICONS and the TV starts receiving INTERNET SIGNALS for specific shows.. You can pick , science, movies, cowboys, classics, cartoons... etc... and there are DOZENS of movies under each catagory... ..."One" the the "ICONS" you pick is ROKU and it is FREE... another is TUBI and it is FREE... You can also pick DISNEY, AMAZON, or others that SELL packages and might cost you $5 - 40. a month for THEIR channels................. so yes, you can get dozens of things for FREE, or you can spend $100. a month, just like the CABLE or DISH TV........ Difference is you are receiving these channels on the INTERNET, not CABLE or DISH Signal.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

If you buy a "ROKU TV", then the ICONS are on the screen as soon as you turn the TV ON.... If you have a OLD TV, you can buy a "STICK"... like a computer chip, that plugs into your OLD TV, normally on a HDMI port, and turns the OLD TV, into a SMART TV...it will have the new "ICONS" when you turn it on.

Greg,I found Movin On on the Ruku and tubi channels, might be on others too
Yea,DJ,ya gotta watch those "free trials" they're ok,but if ya forget to cancel ,that charge shows up on your card. Some of the subscriptions you can 'piggyback off someone who already has a subscription, I get HBOMAX,prime, paramount+,and sling from the kids..

Sometimes I spend more time lookin for something to watch than actually watching....there's a LOT on there
