Is it possible to hook up hydraulic implements to a CA?  What would I need in order to do so if it is possible?  I am trying to learn all I can so I will be able to utilize my CA once I get it finished.

Most CA's came with provisions for a single acting remote hydraulic cylinder. The connection is below the seat on the left side. It may have a pipe cap on it, that can be removed and a hydraulic coupler installed. You can only power single acting cylinders or double acting cylinders that have been converted to single acting by adding a vent. Cylinders must also be rated for 3500 Lbs. Good luck.

Thanks for the info.  I noticed the connection below the seat, and I wasn't exactly sure if there was something I could put there.  Big help, appreciate it.

Also, depending on what you are going to do with it, make sure your hydraulic pump is in the correct setting. I was mowing once and by the time I got done, the mower was a foot off the ground (started at about 5 inches). Needless to say, I had to go back and re-mow it. My pump was in Traction Booster mode and needed to be in Hold mode. You probably know all of this, though.

Honestly, no, I didn't.  I just got this tractor about a week ago, and I'm looking to get it going.  This whole thing is fairly new to me.  I have helped with a couple of rebuilds, but it's not my area of expertise.  Of course I won't be doing it alone (way too much to mess up), but I want to know as much about this tractor as I can.

bs, here's a pic (I hope) of my CA mod. to permit selection of either the 3 pt. conversion on the back or the front lift for the snowblower.

Neat thing is it will hold either lift in the up position if it is up when switched to the other position.
If this is what your thinking of and want further details, let me know here or by PM.

The rear hyd connection is parallel to the lift arms; that is, the lift arms will lift fully before any pressure goes to the rear outlet, You can install a selector valve (like Steve suggests) that will allow you to select where you want the hyd power(the lift arms or the rear outlet). You don't need the selector valve if your CA has the "frame style" rear hitch where the lift arms are pinned closed to the frame; the hyd power goes directly to the outlet as the rear lift cylinders are pinned in the closed position.

Also, you must have the pto engaged to have hyd power...and you can obtain "live hyd power" by enging the hand clutch to stop the forword (or rearword) motion of the tractor when it is in gear.

A properly setup (and fixed up) CA is fun to work. It's the little Allis with the big Allis features. Below is a link on a lot of info on the B/C/CA Allis tractors.

I also recommend that you obtain the operator and service manuals for your CA (available here from this site; click on "Allis Store" at the top. The parts manual is viewable from AGCO. Link is below. Sign in as a guest and enter CA in the "model box" the select "AGCO Allis in the drop down box.
These machines are very basic and can be readily fixed by one with limited mechanical experience.
Good luck with your CA

Greg, after a while though, our mechanical experience grows when working on these tractors.
Welcome to the best tractor site on the web. Anything you don't know or don't understand, there is someone on here that has dealt with and can help solve the problem.
