Do we have any guys that specializes in different oils? Was in the green tractor store picking up parts and was talking with the counter guy about cenex supplying jd hydraulic fluid. He said jd stopped getting it from cenex a while ago. At one of their conventions he said they were told that quick lift was the worst in a jd causing brake and clutch failing. I don't belive this guy, so what's the best hydraulic transmission oil with the best additives for your money?

we have been using Cenex quicklift HTB since 1992, dont know prior to that.
   ZERO clutch, brake, hydraulic issues

3020 JD was main  feed tractor from 1992 until replaced in 2008 with Rt100.  We do run Agco fluid in RT100 with CVT but everything else is HTB

Says on side of pail,Cenex HTB has twice the gear load carrying ability, and four times the copper protection of OEM oil.

Cool. Just wanted to make sure no one else is having issues with quick lift besides mother deere. I'm working on a 4240 jd with the pto slipping, and just got done with a 4020 powershift that I had the clutches out and put quick lift in.

The guy is probably feeding you *^&*%. Those oils are made to JD's specks. So if there was a problem it would have been with JD specks. Quality control is next to none. I've been in the blending plant years ago.. You could have eaten off the floor anywhere in the building.
