Yesterday I put a new line on a single acting AC cylinder I picked up at an auction. Assumed it was an old one for wd high pressure system. However it won't couple to the transport valve on my 45, it hooks right up to dad's 185. Are the couplers different?

Could very well be. I think a 185 would have technically had the same couplers as a 45 from the factory, but who knows whats happened to them since. Male Allis ends will hook up to Pioneer/universal female couplers.

but male pioneer ends wont hook up to female allis couplers. I got tired of swapping equipment and having problems. I swapped all the tractors  to pioneer couplers
