Some days you should just stay in bed. Hoping for pictures but my help on that is hiding. Besides it is a green tractor Wink you guys didn't want to see it anyway.

So I was burning a brush pile and piece of 3/4 inch pipe in the mess. It got just right to have pipe catch the throttle linkage and bent twisted and broke the L shaped arm that is on the shaft coming out of the governor on the injection pump.

It is a Yanmar hiding as John Deere 1250. The pump is a Yanmar, 721820-51300     952  5D  017. From looking at the parts book John Deere does not service any of the parts except as a whole pump. Which I am not ready to think about,Cry just yet anyway.

The arm could be hammer out and the linkage straightened. But the connection to governor is a bushing that has spring pin hold it together. The bushing broke in half and the shaft is bent just a little.

If I was good at fine work I might get a new bushing drilled in the right place. But looking for other options. Hopefully InjpumpED comes along and has a pile of arms that would fit he could sell me. But the way things have been going, I probably have one of a kind pump and no parts left in the world.

The pump and everything still works. I put a vice grip on the shaft and a bale wire to drive it home 2 miles from the old one room school house I was working at.

It was really maddening as I had it in low gear moving several stumps,Wink very carefully, just not carefully enough.  Looking at barbwire and other stuff that could poke into a tire. Since I was out in public i kept the pile little like "Air Quality Control Board" had asked. Wink Burn the bigger stuff in a wood stove, which is not illegal yet. If I would just put a match to the whole works.

Wink But it did not happen when was pushing into the fire at least.LOL

I would look to a junkyard that has similar size engines, Japanese diesels use japanese pumps, so find a boneyard for lil tractors, or maybe diesel reefer units, or small construction equipment.  Yanmar engines are used in these applications...Wink

if you can get a real parts breakdown and finds real part numbers, google 'part number' and see what comes up.... same part could be used in 4-8 models, 3-5 makes so maybe 40 chances to find the part....
