So on a little trip, we visited the Homestead National Monument in Beatrice Nebraska today. I had read the article about the Allis C that was brought back from Alaska, used by the last homesteader.

https://www.omaha.com/news/nebraska/tractor-used-by-the-nation-s-last-homesteader-begins-journey/article_ef6e1a33-b0dd-5c1d-944d-64829f1fa2c9.html

Its an interesting story. They didn't restore it, but just cleaned it up to put on display. I enjoyed seeing it. Shameless, you can't be far away. Ever seen it?

So phase II of the trip, we toured the Case IH combine manufacturing plant in Grand Island, Nebraska. All I can say about that is.... AWESOME!

Phase III was going to Meinhardt Farm Equipment in Wamego, Kansas.. He has quite a collection of mostly AC stuff, but other brands as well. Equally AWESOME!

I've seen the allis at the homestead building.   staff i visited with was basicly clueless!  The background story from the staff would make this a much more desirable display!
