Hey guys, as you may know from the classified section I purchased a nice year-a-round cab from dpower this weekend. I haven't done anything except wash it all off (it's still on the trailer). Tonight I crawled inside and was looking everything over. I really need to get inside the HVAC area in the front part of the cab to rewire everything and make sure the fan etc all work before I put it up on the tractor. But for the life of me I couldn't see anywhere to really access any of this. So I thought maybe the roof of the cab comes off to access everything but it's riveted in place. Any helpful insight on where to start? Any info on making one of these fairly nice would be much appreciated fellas!

Should be 2 screw knobs on each side that you loosen and slide inward towards center of cab and the whole unit swings down.

Mine has two push tabs on the ends to the inside and then it drops down.

Thanks guys! I now feel like an idiot. Stans search for tractor cab handle worked perfect. I was trying to find a site with parts listed for year round cab which is pretty hard to do.

Haha thanks Jason! I'm imagining the door knob handle may be a little on the slick side come time to move snow. And thanks again for being so kind as to have my family and I out to look around we really appreciate. It's nice meeting such kind people, doesnt happen very often these days.

Anybody ever use a rubber stall mat as a floor mat in a cab? Much cheaper than an actual floor mat. Just don't know if it works well at dampening sound. And yes I know, I'm full of dumb questions! Ha

Why not what Ted? Why not ask all the dumb questions or why not use a rubber stall mat? Haha. I think the mat would work alright just didn't know if it does much for noise considering its so dense.

I put a rubber mat in my 7040. Works great. Been that way almost 15 years.

Thanks fellas! I thought about the carpet trick but feeding in sloppy lots in the winter would get the carpet nasty fast. The rubber stall mat looks like the way to go for the price. Thank you. Any other tips on sound deadening a cab would be appreciated.
