    Posted: 27 Aug 2010 at 8:24am
I bought a 303 baler a few years back - it was stuck but had not done many bales.  As I got things un-stuck, I forgot about the tucker fingers.  During the first tie, it bent up the arm that holds the cam-follower.  Getting that off is easy, but it always gave me trouble - and about once/year it would get bent again.  Earlier this year I had to weld a new pin for the cam follower.  Well, last week they crashed again, only this time the cam itself broke.  A few questions:

1.  Is it possible to find individual parts for this knotter, such as the CAM and the CAM-follower arm?  Will the AGCO dealer be able to order, or perhaps someone on-line.

2.  Will parts from other knotters work?   If I bought a old junk NH or JD baler, will those parts likely interchange?

3.  Is it possible to simply swap out the entire knotter from a JD or NH baler.  I hate to do this because mine has so little wear on it otherwise.  However, it will not tie without the tucker fingers in action.

Any help is appreciated.
