My Allis Chalmers book states the only difference between the 6000 & 7000 engines is the turbo chargers. However I cannot confirm whether or not there is mountin holes for the oil pump for the 6000 wet cluth if I were to install a 7000 engine. Can anyone confirm whether the 7000 has the necessary mount area for the wet clutch oil pump?
thanks, Superchief

Chief. Gemdozer is correct 6000 and 7000 basically the same.
HD7G will have the drive for the 2 steering clutch pumps, this is same place as the flywheel clutch pump.
On a HD6E it has the 3 pumps on together.

Hi Merv.  Thanks for the information. Have just purchased a 7000 series motor on gov. auction, and I think everthing will work out ok as long as the engine we purchased  is good. Have a good day, Superchief
