What type, size, and quantity of packing do I need to buy to repair one of the loader lift arm cylinders?  Also, are there any "tricks" to replacing the packing?  My service manual and parts manual only shows the tractor (loader not shown). Tks..............O_O
Why is there never time to do it right the first time, but always time to go back and fix it?

It uses a "V" ring packing on the shaft, first ring is shaped and flat bottom to support the packing above. then 5 rings of V packing and on top the follower , brass part is formed on end to fit packing. The brass has a recess forthe wiper seal mounted as a exclusion seal to keep dirt out.
Packing gland is held on by the 1/2" bolts which are tensioned just enough to leave a light film of oil on rod. You can remove the old packing with a packing removal tool , corkscrew type tool and in some cases just adding another ring (1) of packing will bring full stack back into service.
