I used a radiator from a 46 Chev car in a machine until I could find proper unit. The overall size was a good fit in mounting area - but the cooling capacity was not . You might be able to find something in that size in a 4 + core unit that will work.

I do not know if this option exhists today but years ago I took my damaged industrial tractor radiator to a radiator shop and had a new core installed. The top and bottom tanks were not damaged so the shop was able to create a new core. Some of these old time skills may still exist in rural areas.

Yup, local rad shop here would rebuild it if needed. If you needed a tank, that's where it gets tricky. But if the tanks are OK, they should be able to re-core it. Be sure to specify what it is for. Would hate for them to think that it is a vehicle with 60mph wind helping to cool! Try looking specifically for a "rad shop". Andrew |

For the record, I had a D-15II recored, a coupla years ago, $450+/-. I know it's likely a smaller radiator, but it's a point of reference.

Local radiator shop here takes measurements of the core and then calls up a place in Mi. to get new cores made... and you don't get to keep the old core... shop wants that for their own copper and brass recycling... Says it offsets the cost of the new core.
