Why would anyone consider scrapping this unit??  Track looks reasonable, does not appear to be in total disrepair, other than sitting for a long time what is wrong with it??

I cannot find a decent priced anything here that does not need major work and that monster sits awaiting a scrap decision!

I spent a good part on one summer on one of these in 1971.  24Volt direct starting engine, that was absolutely the easiest starting diesel I have ever seen.  Two-speed fwd, 1 Reverse.  Torque convertor that used Diesel fuel from the fuel tank.  Just gobs of power and would push darn near anything.
