Im losing transmission fluid out the track pivot pin cap, according to my parts breakdown there is a wick that goes from pin into transmission case. How hard is this to replace? Do I have to remove the track assembly or can I just support the dozer and pull the caps and pin??? Im running 15w40 in the transmission

its been awhile since ive had mine off but IIRC the caps come off and the pin has drop down to be free of the dowel. The wick is located inside the dowel that goes between the housing and the pin. When I had mine off I had to move the whole truck frame foreward to remove the sprocket so I also had the axle shaft loose from the frame. I don't know if the pin will drop out with the axle shaft attached or not. Likely your pins are worn and/or the seals on either side are bad.

I pulled my cap and there was nothing in the dowel pin , I could run a wire into transmission case, so I put in a piece of felt and hope it holds.
