I have a couple of HD6s crawlers that im getting ready to rebuild the engines in and was wondering where you all think the best place to get bearings, sleaves and all other parts, one is an older Budda engine and the other is a little newer turbo model, thanks in advance?

We have (4)p 6000 motors.I called a number of people who advertised that they had inventory, but all sources had sold out of their stock. Kevin at Illini who advertises on this site told me the same thing-used up. We have one tractor that may need engine work, but without a reliable source for parts it would be a futile effort.

If you can't find any, I don't see why you couldn't find some close in another brand, only a tad bigger perhaps. Take them to the best machinist in town and cut them to the exact fit. By being creative you can do just about anything. There is a company out of NZ or Australia that reproduces a lot of old parts, and a company in Cal. that does pistons and rings which I have used that worked out real well.       Leon

I don't know if it is in the HD 6 book or not but the manual for uor FA 10 lists that you can oversize the liners - so if you can get pistons and rings as mentioned by Leon  then maybe?
