Does anyone have any suggestions for hauling a 66 combine, presently in good working condition.  I have to go 250 miles, including some interstate.  It is possible to tow?  How fast could it take it?  How often would I have to stop to grease.  Any info is appreciated.

Mount a hitch to your right rear corner of the truck, drive 30 MPH and stop every hour to grease the hubs and check for excess heat,be home in 9 hours.

That is exactly how we towed them when we delivered them or bought them in. 
If we had to carry them we had to at least take the draw bar off and mount them sideways.

40 MPH is not out of the question, but look far enough ahead to get things stopped as necessary.  If the hubs stay cool----go.
Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.

Thanks All!  I was all set to call the guy 250 miles away to close the deal and then get a couple things for that hitch when the phone rang.  Seems one of my neighbors was cleaning out his shed and a friend of a friend's brother-in-law saw a 66.  Always shedded, sickle/reel/pitman new condition (has a windrow pick which they always used, but that stuff was in his sheds), new canvas.  It was all headed to the scrapper.  I got there quickly a bought it for just over scrap value.   It only needs a tire and a belt for the reel (anyone know size/length of that belt I'd appreciate it). 
 
The seller was sure that his father would be happy that it is still going to be used.  This was the Lord's blessing for sure.  God is kind.
