Claims he was locking one brake and making a u turn. I told him that shouldn't break anything. Then he said he was in reverse. Not sure why he was doing that. Should say this is a green tractor . Oh well. Thanks

Is it the newer 820, or the two cylinder 820?

Not sure. Grandson was looking at my D 15 and asked if it was a 3 cylinder, so the 820 might have 3 ? Thanks

So a U turn, in reverse, using one brake? If tractor has a narrow front end, was he attempting to cut donuts? I'm biased to think that. Was at the farm yesterday.......nephew's kid.....about that age......left on a 4 wheeler. Had reason to travel up the road.......and section of road about 200 yards distance was riddled with evidence of donuts in the gravel. Must have been 20 of them. Have witnessed a few attempts to go airborne up some steep banks. Kid will be lucky to live thru it.

Think he was using the harrow/disc , and turning around at the end of the row ? Wasn't that long ago he was cutting dounuts in his 4 wheel drive Chevy truck and tore up the rear end in that . Oh well , thanks .

You grandson sounds like a clone of my former older brother. Dad would tell everyone "don't let that older boy borrow anything that isn't

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

Don't count on it. Those that are hard on equipment are always going to be hard on equipment. I could tell you a lifetime of stories of things he broke. A skunk don't change his stripe. Best you can do is make him only drive what he himself owns and let it go at that. Some just can't be helped.

I once worked with a big, strong kid whose own father said about him......."he could tear up a crowbar in a sandpile". I seem to recall he went on to white collar job working inside. |
