Anyone know the story on the 7040 that was at the show? I believe it was restored by Andrew Gubbels. The tractor ran even better than it looked with 280 hp on the dyno. Does the tractor belong to anyone on here? What kind of work would have to be done to double factory hp?

It was injpump Ed's tractor. No it wasn't restored by Andy. Ed finished it Friday morning before the show. A friend of his painted it for him.

He'll Chime in and fill you in with the details.

And Mack, the numbers are correct, well actually not even. Throttle wasn't opened up all the way and they didn't crank the down the Dyno all the way. It would've went 300+ no problem.

Yes I was standing there. Had to do a quick pull down cause the pto clutches started to slip. Would have went way pass 300 . Then did a 210 from Wisconsin that bested 340 plus.

Here's a couple pictures of Ed and his 7040. First I had to thank him on doing the pump and injectors on my 7000.

Not sure what happened, here is the other one. You could smell the paint curing on the engine.  Tim

It appears its an A&W Dyno. If they are set-up to the tractor they are very accurate., Mike

It is my tractor, and dyno is an M & W P2000. You cannot dyno a performance engine slow and steady, since we are putting out quadruple to intended output. You make a quick squeeze down and back it right off. PTO clutches were not happy! That entire tractor is still stock and original except the pump, injectors and turbo, and I put a 7080 intercooler on it. It pulled the sled pretty easily in 2nd on fast side, PD high, and had enough snort that I didn't have to downshift at the end. I was planning this tractor to be pulling 3rd gear, but I did experiment twice, and that sled was way too hard to get moving, it wouldn't do it! Thanks guys for all the compliments! I really did have a great time at that show! Dave Appleton's 210 was at 340 when the pto wasn't happy, so I had Brett back it off. My first attempt was aborted by me, since it was being pulled down way too slow and easy.

Was really fun doing the dyno session with Joe and Brett Repking, and all the others who were there around it! I had a blast. Boost on my 7040 during the pull was only 40, but didn't really pull down all that hard before spinning in. Those big lugs made deep holes in a hurry lol! Tractor is still way light. We've got video on fb that Carl posted to my page. The pulls are there too. I had so many people (loyal customers) come up to me and introduce themselves, but I think there was many more that we probably walked right by each other lol! I sometimes get really bizzy too! lol! Hard to keep track of it all! Very overwhelming turn out for the show! So glad I could be a small part of it! I would have liked to sponsor something like this.

I failed to thank the guy who made this thing look as pretty as it does! Bradd Kruse, Kruse Kustom Kreations. He has a dustless blaster he used on this, and then nice paint room. He is 8 miles north of Walnut IL. Thanks for the great finished product Bradd!
