I'm relatively new the the Allis Chalmers community and i went to GOTO in nearby Hutchinson today.  It runts tomorrow and Sunday so if you haven't ever been ther bya all means go, go, go.  I've been to many tractor and engine shows over the past twenty years and this is surely the best organized and focused.  It's all orange and its all fun.

Hurry or it will all be gone!

Dick, sorry I missed seeing you there today. Did you like the G selections in the swap meet? Glenn
Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment.
From listening comes wisdom and from speaking comes repentance.

Glenn,

I found a rear furrowing bar without clamps, shanks or shopes but I have some shanks and shoes so was only lacking the clamps.  At another vendor I found clamps and bought four.

the really amazing part is that I had previously arranged to meet someone from Ohio who was driving to the show with an 80' single toolbar, also without clamps.  so at the end of the day I had a "new" furrowing bar with clamps and a "new" 80' toolbar with clamps.  Except for the heat it was a great day.

Sorry to have missed you at the show.  I would liked to have seen more G's with implements but then I'm relatively new at this and learning fast.  Maybe I should go to Alabama in October.

I also came away from the show with an interest in a 30-40 HP utility tractor that I could use for my small farming operations.  I ned to drive a 5' rottoller in sandy soil, plow or blow snow and load manure.  Maybe something in the D series will work but I first need to sell my JD 40S, JD 440I w/loader or JD 830 (3 cyl) to finance it.

Have a safe trip home.

Dick
