Got small grains done for the summer so I am wanting to put the new corn head I found on my E. Its in really nice shape and I'm excited about it. My question is this: old timers say they would put heavier lift cylinders on the feederhouse and maybe even an accumulator to withstand the weight and shock with the heavier 3 row head. Apparently didn't need them on the 238... is this true? kinda doubt i will be able to find this setup so my next question is will my smaller factory cylinders work?
thanks in advance

If you have the small cylinders , it will work until oil gets hot.   MACK

ran a 330 on my "K" just fine for years. think it weighed about the same as the 13 ft header I used on it.

the latter E's had a higher pressure relief valve, but we ran one for years on the lower pressure with small cylinders. it will make the back end light though.
