I have found a good clean low hrs r62. The only problem is it has a rock go through it. The cage has a few bumps and is tore open in three places not very big just s few squares on the cage. And one of the heli bars is broken off. Can I weld all of this up or would I need to replace the parts? If replacement can I fix the cage with out removing the rotor? Thanks

If you're going to weld the cage,I think you'd want a bead on the inside for strength.Pretty sure it'e been done before.I'd find a way to pull the rotor.Think you'll be glad in the end.

The cage is made of hard, hard stuff. I would think that pulling the rotor would be the way to go. I wish Gleaner would cut in squares into the end of the rotor for the fork lift forks to slip right into.
